Brandon King has been fishing for as long as he can remember, He started his guiding career in 2007 in Mozambique, fishing both blue water and inshore mangrove systems. This lead him to Zambia where he guided on the Upper Zambezi targeting tiger fish on both fly and conventional gear. His love of saltwater and fly fishing landed him on one of the most exclusive and highly sought after guiding positions in the world, on Alphonse Island in the Seychelles, where he worked for 3 years. He moved on to run a fishing operation in Madagascar, targeting sailfish, marlin and giant trevally among other species.
He has travelled and fished around the world from Cuba, Seychelles, Saudi Arabia ,Sudan, Australia, Zambia, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique, Scotland, England, UAE, Oman, Slovenia , Mexico and South Africa. The summers he spent exploring the UK chalk streams, the Test and Kennet.
Finally settling in Oman to start his latest fly fishing operation Arabian Fly Sport fishing that operates in multiple destinations along the Omani coastline.
It is here that he now calls home. A destination that offers both inshore and offshore, fly and conventional fishing. Here that his clients can target the infamous Indo-pacific and Africanus permit or spend the day exploring the many bays and rocky outcrops by boat targeting Trevally, bluefish, milkfish and queen fish. Or troll the drop off teasing billfish, dorado and tuna from the deep.

Oman’s coastline is a striking blend of sprawling sandy beaches, secluded rockybays, and jagged cliffs that plunge dramatically into the ocean. Flanked by the Gulf of Oman to the north and the Arabian Sea to the south—part of the northern Indian Ocean—this diverse coastal landscape offers an extraordinary setting for adventure and discovery.
After extensively exploring this remarkable stretch of coast, we founded Arabian FlySport Fishing to open up Oman’s rich marine environment to the international sport fishing market. We provide the opportunity to fish this remote and beautiful destination in first-class comfort, guided by experienced and passionate professionals.

The Sultanate of Oman lies on the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula. In the 19th century, it was a powerful empire, with influence extending across Iran ,Pakistan, and as far south as Zanzibar—competing with both Portugal and Britain for dominance in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean. In the 20th century, Oman came under British influence, and its capital, Muscat, historically served as one of the most important trading ports in the region.
Oman remained relatively isolated until the 1970s, when Sultan Qaboos bin Said came to power. Under his leadership, the country underwent significant modernization and opened up to the rest of the world. Following his passing in 2020, his cousin, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, assumed leadership and has continued to guide the country with a focus on stability, development, and heritage.
Today, Oman’s economy is largely driven by its oil and petroleum resources, though agriculture, fishing, and a rapidly growing tourism sector are also important contributors.
Visitors are drawn to Oman for its largely untouched coastline, rugged mountain ranges, pristine riverbeds (known locally as wadis), and vast deserts filled with rolling sand dunes. Scattered throughout the country are ancient towns rich in history, with majestic forts, grand palaces, and walled cities. Oman remains a mystical, unspoiled destination—welcoming travelers with some of the warmest hospitality found anywhere in the world.
